01 · Zero tolerance policy

Dit maintains an absolute zero-tolerance policy toward any form of offensive content, abusive behaviour, or harmful interactions on our platform. This includes, but is not limited to:

While Dit is not a messaging platform and does not transmit text, images, or media between users, we recognise that the signal system (dit/dah) and user profile features (username, name, bio) can be misused. We take all forms of abuse equally seriously regardless of the mechanism used.

02 · Child safety

Absolute prohibition. Dit prohibits — in the strongest possible terms — any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and any child sexual abuse material (CSAM). There are no exceptions, no warnings, and no second chances.

Our commitment

Dit is committed to the safety of minors on our platform. We adhere to the following principles:

Age requirements

Dit is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age of digital consent in the user's jurisdiction). We do not knowingly allow minors below this age to create accounts. If we become aware that a user is below the minimum age, the account will be immediately terminated and all associated data permanently deleted.

Compliance with child safety laws

Dit complies with all applicable child safety laws and regulations, including but not limited to the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) provisions regarding minors, and the UK Age Appropriate Design Code. We continuously monitor regulatory developments and update our practices accordingly.

03 · Prohibited content & behaviour

Although Dit does not transmit text messages, images, or media between users, the following are strictly prohibited in any user-controlled element of the platform (usernames, display names, bios, profile pictures) and in any use of the signal system:

Category Description Severity
CSAM / CSAE Any content or behaviour involving the sexual abuse or exploitation of minors critical
Harassment Repeated unwanted contact, bullying, stalking, or intimidation via signals or profile critical
Hate speech Usernames, bios, or profile images promoting hatred or discrimination critical
Threats Direct or implied threats of physical violence or self-harm critical
Impersonation Accounts designed to impersonate real individuals or organisations high
Spam / signal abuse Sending excessive unsolicited dits with intent to harass or disrupt high
Inappropriate profiles Sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate usernames, bios, or profile images medium

04 · How to report violations

Dit provides an in-app reporting mechanism that allows any user to report violations directly without leaving the application. We encourage all users to report any behaviour or content that violates these standards.

How to report within the app

1
Open the user's profile or dit detail
Navigate to the conversation with the user you want to report, or find them in your contacts list.
2
Tap the menu (⋯)
In the top-right corner of the screen, tap the three-dot menu icon to open the options.
3
Select "Report"
Choose the "Report" option from the menu. You will be asked to select a reason for the report from a predefined list of categories.
4
Submit
Your report is sent directly to our moderation team. You do not need to provide personal details — the report includes the relevant account information automatically. Your identity as the reporter is never disclosed to the reported user.

Reporter protection. Your identity is never shared with the reported user. Reporting is confidential. You will not face any retaliation or negative consequences for submitting a good-faith report.

Reporting by email

If you are unable to use the in-app reporting mechanism, you can also report violations by emailing tricabit@gmail.com with a description of the issue and, if possible, the username of the account in question.

Emergency situations

If you believe a child is in immediate danger, please contact your local law enforcement immediately. In the United States, you can also report to the NCMEC CyberTipline. Do not rely solely on our platform's reporting mechanism in emergency situations.

05 · Moderation & enforcement

Review process

Our moderation team reviews all user reports. We aim to review and act on reports within 24 hours for standard violations and immediately for any reports involving child safety or imminent threats.

Actions we take

The Dit moderation team reserves the sole and absolute right to take any of the following actions in response to violations, without prior notice to the offending user:

No appeal for critical violations. Accounts terminated for CSAM, CSAE, or credible threats of violence are permanently banned without possibility of appeal. For other violations, users may contact us to request a review.
